Epsilon Care Consulting is owned and operated by Dr. Alice E. Veksler. Her primary areas of expertise are health communication and public health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Biology, a Master’s degree in Communication, a Master’s degree in Public Health, and an Interdisciplinary PhD in Communication Studies with a focus on Health Communication.

Dr. Veksler has spent most of her professional life in academia, most recently as a Professor in the Department of Communication at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA where she teaches classes such as Health & Medical Communication. Her current line of research investigates how organizational stress can lead to negative health outcomes such as burnout for nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Dr. Veksler is passionate about public health and hopes her work helps improve health outcomes at individual and community levels. In addition to serving as a Professor in the Department of Communication, Dr. Veksler also serves as the Director of the Health Communication Research Laboratory and as the Director of the Health Studies major and the minor program in Health, Medical, and Wellness Studies.

Dr. Veksler launched Epsilon Care Consulting to be able to take the work that she does in the classroom into the community to help empower individuals to achieve optimal health outcomes and to help providers deliver high quality care. She offers a wide array of advocacy and consulting services at the individual and corporate levels.

In her spare time, Dr. Veksler loves to spend time with her wife and daughter and experience the culture and excitement of the Hampton Roads area.
